The MRU participated in a conference on 'The Role of Remittances in Increasing Investment and Achieving Sustainable Development,' organized by the Ministry of State for Migration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation. The conference took place from October 10-11, 2021, at the Semiramis Hotel

The purpose of establishing a unit for migration studies to provide an opportunity to study the economic and social dimensions in cooperation with the various departments inside and outside the college to study the motives and effects of migration, whether legal or illegal, which opens the horizon for joint research.
