In cooperation with the IOM-Egypt, the MRU participated in a week-long study visit to the Netherlands and Belgium from 17 to 22 December 2023 was undertaken to exchange ideas and benefit from other similar entities’ experiences in Europe. The aim of this visit was to participate in workshops on integrating migration into academic research and public policy across different research institutions and centres affiliated to Erasmus University in Rotterdam (the Netherlands) and to build a long-lasting network with these European counterparts. By exchanging experiences and knowledge and identifying areas of shared interest, the visit laid the groundwork for future modes of cooperation between Cairo University and these institutions
